Awarded by the Society of Indian Bakers
The Society of Indian bakers has instituted awards to confer recognition and to honour distinguished persons who have made significant and substantial contribution to bakery technology and craft, and towards promotion of bakery industry in the country.
This year, the society has decided to confer an award the “Roll of Honour” to
“ JAGDISH RAI CHANDANA ”
Shri JR Chandana (CEO - Maxim's Group) has been in the bakery field as an example of a small entrepreneur who has shown a strong respect for advancement of scientific bakery technology, He came into the trade with Maxim’s Bakery Shop in south Delhi in late 1960s. He has right from the beginning taken keen interest in advancement and spread of knowledge.Shri Chandana has been actively involved in organising the technologists, tradesmen and entrepreneurs, guiding them encouraging them in taking forward the bakery craft.
